Famous Horses
There is not a time in my life where I can't remember having a horse of some sort in my life. My first ride was when I was three and that was on a little paint pony at the fair. Yeah believe it or not I remember what the pony looked like. Ever since that day I have been hooked on horses. I think its a disease, but to me its a cure!
When I was little I wasn't allowed to watch much television, but thank the horse God's that my dad was a horse man too and he introduced me to all the great horses of cinema and my first movie that I saw at the drive in theater was The Lone Ranger. Boy, I remember driving my parents insane playing The Lone Ranger, night and day, before breakfast right thru until bedtime. I dreamed of horses in my sleep. Then when I was nine years old I got my first horse. He was a brilliant bright red chestnut with a tiny white star and a white coronet band on his left hind leg. His name was Sparky. He and I were best friends and the worst of enemies, but he sure did teach me alot and we had the grandest of adventures up in the mountains of East Lyndon, Vermont. Horses have been right there beside us all thru history. They have been our animals of burden, food, protectors, guides, friends and to most of us horse crazy folks our soul mates. So I decided to dedicated a page to some of the horses in cinema that inspired me thru my years. I hope you enjoy it and don't be bashful about letting me know what you think. Here is my email. Just drop me a line. [email protected]
