I have started my research on hopefully our first expedition to The Inwood Manor in East Barnet, Vermont. I went to the Barnet Town Clerk office today and started looking up land owners and I got to the date 1888 before the trail got cold. Tomorrow I will be coming back to the library and seeing what kind of inforamtion I can find out on all of the owners of the Inwood Manor. I'm so excited to be doing this and it is so fun. The farther back I had gotten in history the more excited I got. I thought I was going to pee my pants. I have lived in East Barnet for 25 years and worked at the Inwood Manor when I was a teenager and saw paranormal activity myself then so I'm hoping that the owners now will indulge us on our first expedition. I will keep you informed. I will also let you know what my report is when I get in finished. If you would like to know more about myself and my team with S.P.I.R.I.T of the Northeast Kingdom then you can visit Gypsy and Wolfs website where Gypsy has mad a whole page about us as a team. Below is a link to their website.

I'm finally on vacation! Its the first one since I have been back at the farm last July!!!! I have been sooooo busy that I have forgotten how to breathe! I have just finished my journal about my animal stories and animal messengers. My mom is reading it right now. My friend Gypsy who gave me the journal read it first and she loved it. Which was a big boost for my ego. I love to write! Its a great outlet for me. Now all I have to do is find a publisher and I should be set. Cappy, one of the morgans that I take care of Foundered a couple of weeks ago and we have been tending to her and she is well on her way to getting back on track. If you would like more info on Founder or Laminitis then you can go to my blog.
www.oldsilotrailblazers.blogspot.com That has been doing really well as well. I'm very excitied that it has taken off the way it has. It makes me feel good that I'm possibly helping people I don't even know. What an awesome feeling!!!! Well I guess that is it for now time to get back to my vacation! Talk to you all again real soon! On last friday I lost my best friend. I came home from the barn and my daughter was crying and yelling for me as I got to the house. All I heard was "Mom something is really wrong with Melody!" Shoni never calls Mel Mel, Melody unless there is a real problem. I ran in the house and the poor ole girl was having seizures. I picked her up and brought her to my vets office, but they were closed so I went to the other vets office and that vet was out to lunch. I almost had to travel about 10 miles away to another vet when the vet who was out to lunch came back. They were kind and took us in and they looked her over. She had really bad kitty vertigo and they wanted to do two weeks worth of shots with pills and they wanted me to cross the state with her to do MRI's to see if she had a pollupe on her brain. Being a person with a very low income I decided to put her down. I had Mel Mel for 13 years. Just as long as I have had my own daughter. She will be sadly missed. she was my anchor when things went bad and I could always count on her to be there no matter what mood I was in. I love you Mel!
I had a blast at Gypsy's and Wolf's wedding! I guess I did an awesome job cause Gypsy and Wolf said I was getting LOTS of praise from their guests. It was interesting doing that and what a priviledge to be able to do that for my two very best friends!!! We had so much fun at their wedding and I got some great shots and my daughter Shoni did an awesome job too at the wedding. She had four different jobs to do and she handled herself very well for a 13 year old. Sorry I haven't been on, but everyone at the barn has been sick and I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off lately! So many things to do and not enough time to do them!!!! Well I'm sorry I have to cut this short, but I have a busy day today as well. So I will hook up with you soon!!!!!
Wild Wind I have been so busy that I can't keep my head straight! I have been so busy at the farm. Mystic, Jake, Katie and Cappy have all had to have the vet look at them this week. I have learned a great deal which I am very thankful for. So I get to play vet know for everyone for about a month and we will see how everyone is doing. I have also had som losses this month too. I have lost three very good friends of mine. RIP Michael Stebelus of Peacham, Vermont, Tricia Lawerance of St. Johnsbury and my very own Budda Boy, Trouble! He died in our home last Saturday and it broke our hearts. He was only 5 years old. Too young to go and he will be sorely missed. We LoVE YOU TROUBLE WHOUBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On a better note! It will be 15 more days before Gypsy and Wolf get married. I will be conducting the wedding and I'm soooooo excited!!!! My daughter has picked out a most beautiful dress for the wedding and I can't wait to take pictures of her in it. Also here in St. Johnsbury we are going to be doing the Pet Parade for animal awareness and Shoni and our newest edition Stash are competeing in the costume competition. So cross your fingers and paws and let me know what you think of they're ensemble. Well I guess that is it for now. My other blog is doing really well. I'm getting hits from several different types of people from all over the world. Well I will talk to you soon!!!!
Wild Wind Hey Folks!
Just wanted to let you know that I have put a couple of new stories on my blog site. Here is the address if your interested. www.oldsilotrailblazers.blogspot.com Also I have put an ad in horseclicks.com for housesitting/horsesitting. I will work 50 miles in any direction of St. Johnsbury and will house sit for you for $150 a week. I mostly want to work with people who have horses. So if you or anyone else needs a house sitter let me know. Thanks for stopping by. Wild Wind I got to hang out with my newest "niece" today and yesterday my day went to the barn with me. He feel asleep in the van while I worked, BUT he got out of his house and got some very much needed fresh air. I have been conducting experiments with ravens, George and Gracie. I have been seeing how respective they are to my animals communication skills. George is the one I work with the most. Gracie is to busy laying on her eggs. He is so much fun and I can do more with him, not talking then talking to him. He is really fun and loves to interact with me. I am also working with a chipmunk and a red squirrel. The chipmunk follows me around everywhere. He is more receptive to me than the squirrel. And I have gotten really good with the horses to. I don't even have to speak to them any more. I use images in my mind and send them to the horses. The mares are more responsive than the geldings. I have been really busy at the farm lately. And my summer has just begun. Well I guess that is it for now. Thanks for stopping by!
Wild Wind I had the most awesome day with my horse today. If you would like to read about it you can go to the button below to read my new blog called Old Silo Trailblazers. Thanks for stopping by.
Hey everyone! I just wanted to remind you that Tick season here in Vermont has begun!! So Please make sure you check your dogs, cats and horses for ticks. I found one on one of the horses I work with. Below I have given you two pictures of what our ticks look like before the bite and after. To get them off is really simple and with this method I have gotten a 100% removal rate from this method.
First find the tick then reach down its body with your index finger and thumb, then wiggle those two digits right down to the skin, then once you feel you have a good hold give a good yank and out will come head and all. To Kill a tick you simply hit it with a hammer or a rock. Make sure you check your horses after you have gone into the deep woods or have rode in a tall grassy field! If you bring dogs with you on your ride, check them and then yourself. If you find one on yourself, Just pull it out and watch the effected area. If a red circle starts to form or if you start having flu like symptoms go to the ER as soon as you can and get checked for Lyme Disease! We have it here in Vermont so be careful!!! Ticks start coming around in the middle of May and last right into the fall months. Here are the ticks below! Well folks I went and did it. I only did it because my two best friends asked me too, but the more I thought about it the more I understood. I have been asked to marry my two best friends in the world. What an honor!!!! So I have now become an Ordained Minister.Thats right I can now do marriages and funerals so now I can really help my friends out. Everyone who has known me is going to think this is some kind of joke, BUT its not. Sorry! I really am a minister. I can't believe it myself, but thats right. Not only am I going to be able to marry my best friends but my father has also asked me to conduct his funeral. That one will be hard, but dad and I are the easy going ones in the family so it shouldn't be that hard. I hope. Isn't it funny what life will throw at you. But the Powers That Be only throw at you what They know you can handle. Who knows maybe a whole lotta good can come out of this. Maybe there is a way to incorporate my new found calling in life to help out the homeless and the abused animals. Life is so strange sometimes, but I have learned to go with the punches and see what happens next. Well I guess that is it for now. Just wanted to let you all know what is happening. Talk to you soon!
